So, "in the hood" was the theme I chose for this challenge, I thought that would be simple enough,  not quite so...but anyway, this is Nick; he's 'the' picture framer in my neighbourhood... he tells me he's also an awesome photographer; drummer; and artist...just an all round creative fellow really.

I learnt stuff about this guy because of this challenge; I like that.

I realised after this challenge that I hardly ever get to spend time in my neighbourhood. I work in the city and I'm usually in the city after work as well so the only time I'm ever in my hood is when I catch the train back at a late hour with hardly anyone around. Apart from a few scary faces. Risky business.

Todays challenge was "in your hood", photojournal style, courtesy of Tamara. I completely forgot about the challenge over the course of the day, but then made some hack attempts when out with the family for mothers day. 

Then I remembered I'd yanked out the camera on the drive there to snap this lovely lady in red.
